I am a sucker for a unique wedding, especially one that seems like it is straight out of New York. But even better. When Shauna emailed me about photographing her wedding, I asked her some questions about what she was planning, to see if I would be a good fit as her photographer. One email later, and it was clear….this was MY type of a wedding. In one word, it was going to be fabulous. The ever glamorous Shauna and the dapper Braden planned an amazing evening wedding & cocktail reception. It was so very amazing with waiters holder trays up high, passing out hors d’oeuvres. So classy, so cosmopolitan! The evening was people mingling at high & low cocktail tables, mixed with a few speeches and a darling first dance. The guests at this wedding were having an amazing time, and energy in the room was so fun.
A very memorable moment for me was watching Braden tell Shauna how much he loved her. He called her his bride (one of my favorite things to be called by Adam!!) and gushed on about how darling she was. It was so sweet!
Shauna prepared for her wedding at the historic and ever classy Union Bank Inn. We did the first look for the Bride & Groom in the ballroom of the Union Bank Inn and then we went to the new Art Museum for the wedding portraits.
What an amazing day, and SUCH a fabulous unique wedding!
I loved the decor in the Union Bank Inn, it made a beautiful backdrop for the wedding prep photos!
When I took this picture of Shauna, my heart leaped. Like, it actually did. I LOVE it. She is so beautiful!!
The bridesmaid dresses were all unique from each other, and very cute & sassy.
Shauna has such a timeless elegance about her. I think this portrait captures that side of her.
By the time we were shooting in the Art Gallery, the light was pretty much gone, but we were still able to capture some Dramatic, Romantic wedding photos!
The ladies had all kinds of GLAM going on. LOVED it.
The men looked so dapper. Each one of them was a fantastic guy and so willing to participate in the wedding photos.
My two favorite photos of the day
I love, love, love the tenderness that this image captures. I picture it on a romantic huge canvas above their bed.
