Being a Boutique Studio (meaning we specialize in one thing : weddings), we offer our luxury photography to only a limited amount
of bookings each year. As such, whenever we get an inquiry, we ask the couple questions about themselves & their day
to see if they are a good fit for us. Consultations (whether phone, email or in person) is just as much about us seeing if
the people inquiring are clients that we would like to have take one of our spots.
When Tannis replied to my questions, I was very intrigued with her & the darling wedding that she was planning.
She had me at hello when she talked about how she was an old soul. Something inside of me knew that she was
the bride for me. I actually turned down another inquiry for this date, because I felt that Tannis was the better fit.
There is something in my soul, that loves Tannis’ soul. She is kind, generous, thoughtful and mature. She was right, she
does have an old soul. An old, kind soul. I know that Tannis will be someone that I want to keep in touch with for a very
long time. She is the type of person, who I know, had I met anywhere, that we would be friends.
I adore her inner strength, her sense of calm & the fact that just by talking with her for 2 minutes, you can see that
she knows that really matters in life.
It was my distinct honor to photograph Tannis marrying the love of her life, Ben, in their backyard in Slave Lake.
The heavens must love Tannis, because it rained all morning, and about a half hour before her lovely outdoor ceremony,
the raining stopped & it became a beautiful day.
Tannis & Ben said “I do” and (what was it that ben said?? yes?) under a huge beautiful tree.
The setting was highly romantic & I loved every minute of my time with them & their amazing friends.
Much Love & enjoy your sneak peek!
p.s. I hope you have an amazing time in Italy, and if you love me at all, you will eat a huge plate of spaghetti for me.

Tannis & Ben’s incredible backyard. Such a romantic location for a wedding ceremony.I am in love with these images of Tannis leaving for her ceremonyThe ceremony was sweet, tender and natural. They didn’t add any fluff to it at all, they kept it real and made it all about the vows &
the moment.Tannis & her bridesmaids had the most beautiful feminine bouquets.I love, love, love these 2 images & the story of tenderness that they tell. This one is one of my favorite images of the day.
Tannis & Ben’s wedding complimented their old souls with a sweet vintage theme.
Tannis, you are so very very beautiful.Ben, you are so very, very cool.
I typically have my blog posts showing images of mostly the bride & groom, however I wanted to share just a couple of others
with you. This first image, I love & adore, is of the groom’s family.
