The minister at their ceremony said something along the lines of “what if we woke up each day & made our number one goal—- to love our loved ones a little more. To show those loved ones, increased love?”
That struck a chord with me. I was squatting down along the sides, getting a closeup shot, and his words resonated with me. I thought of my sweetheart Adam & our ‘pink book’. The pink book is something that Adam came up with. It is a basic pink notebook that lays around various spots in our home. Whenever I see it occasionally laying somewhere, I know to look inside. Sure enough, a new love letter will be in there. He tries so hard to “love me a little more”. The minister spoke of how, in a world where marriages fail and couples are not each other’s best friend, how with effort, that can still exist.
Throughout the day, I was further choked up, as I saw Doug & Chelsea together. Doug was stealing kisses whenever he could. When Chelsea was chatting with guests or bridesmaids, Doug would be staring at her with a look on his face that words cannot explain.
It is clear through every movement Chelsea makes that she knows what a treasure she has in Doug. She is always gracious to him, concerned about him, and tender with him. When people ask me what I think is one of the most necessary things in marriage, I always answer with tenderness.
It was my honor to spend the day witnessing two people in love, WHO GET IT. It was inspiring.
That, and the fact that her details were pale pink, pretty much made my life.
Love to you both. Enjoy your sneak peek of your day!
Chelsea had some fantastic pink details and her grandmother’s jewelry.
What a radiant bride, ready to be wed!
I love this photo of Chelsea hugging her mother (who walked her down the aisle, in lieu of her beloved late father)
Chelsea was so elegant looking, that I told her that she should be the new princess of England!
Their vows were very heartfelt & sincere.
Very, very, very ecstatic to be married!
Chelsea, if I ever grow up, I want to be elegant like you
Chelsea’s bouquet & dress took everyone’s breath away.
Two words. Wow. Wow.
I loved these girls & adore that they had such cute parasols, even if I kept calling them carousels.
I love these two together.
Chelsea & Doug booked me for their wedding, based on a referral of their best friends. Those two were married a couple of years ago & now have a bouncing baby boy!
Their reception was at the Ramada on kingsway in Edmonton, and the staff & service (not to mention room beauty) was fantastic!
Every detail was exquisite!
