He blew me away & made me feel like an absolute princess. Our 5 the wedding anniversary was coming up, and adam told me not to make any plans, because he had plans.
That was all he ever said.
One day, after having been out, he came home, grabbed our little son…packed him a bag and said “I will be back in 3 hours. Have a bag packed with decently warm clothes”.
I cannot express how excited I was!!!! I love LIVE for surprises.
Adam returned (had had dropped our son off with family members) and requested that I get in the car.
A couple of hours into our drive he told me that we were off to Salt Lake City to see the famous Latter Day Saint temple square lights. Something we have been wanting to do for years.
It was a long drive, but one full of amazing conversation, tender moments, laughter, car dancing, me reading short stories to him, making plans for our future….and of course the usual conversation of “okay, say we won 20million dollars, what would we do with it”. We playfully fought about why I felt everyone in the family needed a 5D Mark II Canon, and why he felt that everyone needed their own side by side 1/4 section of hunting land.
We had a marvelous time. Adam spared no expense as we rolled into hotels that I had only dreamed of staying in. In rooms beside us were senators and zillionaires. It was in that moment that I wished I had followed my instinct in getting my pink dress coat dry-cleaned, and I Soooo wished I had packed my cute luggage instead of quickly grabbing (in my “be packed in 3 hours” panic) the, you know, one with the broken handle.
Of course, what we went there to see… the ever festive, ever romantic, temple lights (and salt lake city temple)
I felt like an absolute queen. I am so blessed to have the love of an amazing man. I am so blessed that he feels that I am worth spoiling, and I am so very very blessed that he cares enough to surprise me.
Blissfully in love,
Me and my sweetheart man.
The Palace hotel that he booked to suprise me.
