Matt and I were able to escape for a week and go on a family holiday to Chicago! We were so excited to go and see this beautiful city, and it didn’t disappoint!
We cherished every moment being together and saw so much in our time there! The only thing that confused us when we were there were the highway Tolls.
Mainly the ‘Cash Only’ tolls. We had just left the airport and came across a cash only toll.
Two things: We had no ‘coins’ and if we had, we had no idea that you had to throw them in this ghetto basket. So what did we do?
We drove right through them. 2 to be exact, until we clued in. duh.
We are still waiting on our car rental company to contact us about that… or maybe we will just lay low and see what happens. Always a risky game going to a foreign country ;)
A highlight of the trip was going to a Cubs game at Wrigley Field, we got very close seats so we could actually watch the game and see what was happening. The lady sitting next to me even jumped up and caught a ball, I went into the fetal position. And in the scramble of saving my life, I got nacho cheese on my elbow.
The vibe that was there was amazing! We of course did the whole shebang, nachos, hotdogs, oversized salted pretzel that was the size of my face.
What was the biggest surprise of all, was having to stand in the 7th inning and sing ‘take me out to the ball game’!
