On a cold, New Years eve, Ashley & Drew said “I do” in the Holy Family Parish in Saint Albert, with beautiful, magical warm winter sun pouring in. They were both remarkable calm and very confident in their decision. The ceremony went perfectly & with a few “I do’s” and a kiss later, they were husband and wife.
In terms of photography locations, Ashley chose a mixture of outdoor nighttime wedding photographs at the Legislature, and indoor pictures in the atrium of the Ramada on Kingsway. At both locations we were able to rock it out (their wedding party were excellent sports!) and get them a variety of unique and romantic wedding photographs.
The festive & cozy reception was held at the Glengarry Hall where guests enjoyed lovely cocktails and amazing food by Elegant Affairs. Despite cold, edmonton wintery weather, the bride & groom along with their guests had an amazing dance party & enjoyed New Years festivities in warmth & style.
I hope you two are enjoying your fabulous tropical honeymoon!!
Ashley’s gown fit her perfectly. It was so elegant.
I loved her hairpin. Simple, classic & romantic.Ashley braved the cold as she left for her romantic church ceremonyI adore this portrait of Ashley! I think it is peaceful & timeless. One of my very favorite images from the day. We had some amazing light streaming in through the windows for this shot. You two look beautiful! Here is your classic, crisp portrait. And now, some sweet, tender photographs.I LOVE my Mark II (and it’s low noise at high ISO)! It was totally black outside, and I was able to get this fantastic photo without having to blast them with unflattering flash! These ones were taken earlier in the day, outside of the Ramada hotel. I was so impressed with how Ashley braved the cold (- 24!!)
Again, it was totally dark outside, but I think these turned out fabulous! Ashley wanted to capture the beautiful, romantic Christmas lights.
