    Alberta Mountain Wedding Photography

    August 31, 2010

I wanted to share a few more images from Cherisa & Jordan’s amazing wedding day.
They were married in an intimate ceremony in the Cardston LDS temple , with photos in Waterton near the prince of wales

& Cameron lake. The amazing day filled with love, was followed with an amazing family luncheon at the charming Cobblestone Manor,

and an amazing party full of speeches, Jordan singing to Cherisa and a fun filled dance at the lynx ridge golf course.

    _____________________

I simply & totally adore this image of the dress. The light was just gorgeous.

Cherisa & Jordan had their marriage sealed in the Cardston, Alberta temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

The temple is an amazing backdrop for photos. So magestic!

We traveled to waterton & spent some time doing some lovely wedding images with just the two of them. We started out by the Prince of Wales hotel….which Cherisa’s grandfather actually helped build. How darling is that?

Cherisa, you are so totally radiant. Jordan is SO lucky to have you!

The drama & joy in this photo makes my heart sing. I just adore this image. It is everything that I love.

    Joy, drama & natural light.

This image is another favorite image of mine. I adore the passion in it.

This wedding image was taken in Waterton right beside the Prince of Wales hotel.

    Cherisa loves Jordan.

Something about this image of Jordan showcasing their rings, is so gentle & yet strong to me.This tender darling moment was captured up by Cameron Lake. I adore the feeling in it.

Cherisa is seriously the cutest girl ever. Now for a few of my signature stylized images

    Cherisa & Jordan {Waterton & Cardston Wedding}

    August 30, 2010

One of my favorite things about being married to Adam is our genuine friendship.

We both just really really enjoy each other.

In our downtime, we are almost always together. We even prefer to do tedious tasks together.

When he wants to go Scuba Diving, I’m game. When I want to go horse riding, he’s game.

    We are truely friends.

I love when marriages are like this because, during life’s inevitable ups & downs….a marriage

based on friendship will last. That friendship can be the glue that keeps you strong & together.

I love knowing that no matter what, no matter with whom….Adam has my back.

Cherisa & Jordan are this type of couple. You can see, without a doubt, that they are friends.

    Best Friends.

They laugh together, they tease, they flirt.  Yes, there  is obvious passion, adoration & love.

But at the core, at the base, the root—there is friendship.

They really just totally enjoy one another. It is so adorable.

    I love this about them.

Cherisa, I couldn’t be more happy for you. I totally adore you. I think you are such a classy lady

and you have such a sweet soft disposition. Sprinkled with a great scrunchy nose smile & a contagious laugh.

    I love you to pieces.

**Enjoy their lovely little slideshow HERE **

(many more wedding photos from waterton national park & cardston temple to come)…stay tuned.

    xoxo

    Fort Edmonton Park Wedding Photography {Jennifer & John}

    August 18, 2010

Fact: If I were a man, I would marry Jennifer in a second & consider myself blessed. Jennifer is seriously

one of the most gentle, kind hearted women I have ever met. I totally & completely adore her.

I don’t just adore her because we found that we had a common interest in the tv show, the bachelorette & would

email each other about the latest & greatest…..BUT I adore her because she just rocks who she is.

She seriously inspires me to be more kind, more gentle, more caring.

John is a lucky man. John is a fabulous man with a good kind heart. He is one of those people

who is who he is who he is. It doesnt matter who YOU are, John is the same guy to everyone.

    I love that about him.

These two were married in the amazing catholic church in sherwood park, with photos in Fort Edmonton Park, with

their reception in the airplane hanger (it was BEYOND cool!) in Fort Edmonton park.

Jenn, you were so incredibly breathtaking!

I love these fun, fresh wedding party images. Even if I nearly got him by 100 cars to get them (wink).

Jennifer, this needs to grace your bedroom…on canvas…above Johns nighttable. Im just sayin’.

Flowers in the park did a lovely job (as always) on the floralsI adore the drama in both of these.

The tenderness in this photo is something that I adore!

These colors, all together, are just awesome.

I LOVE me some blingThe inside of the airplane hanger! unreal hey?! This was done up by the lovely Jenn from atmosphere weddings. The outside of the airplane hanger. LOVE unique locations!!

These two did their first dance to all of their guests standing around them with sparklers lit. It was unreal. SO amazing &

I totally think other couples should do it. It took my breath away.

    Sarah and Jay {Edmonton Wedding Photographer}

    August 16, 2010

It was an extraordinary day. The sun peered out from the clouds just after the early morning rain.
Sarah got ready in The Village Creek Country Inn . The view from the back balcony was breathtaking (which is where we decided to take our photos!)
The moment I met Sarah I knew that she was a beautiful person. Inside and out. She radiated kindness and joy, and the moment she said ‘knickers’
my heart grew twice the size.

This was the day she was going to marry the man of her dreams. Who has stood by her through thick and thin. She was about to marry
    her best friend.
Her sister even flew all the way from England to be a part of her beautiful day.
The giggling in the room was constant. This was a special day. For everyone.

Jay had such amazing style. He was rockin’ his bowtie and his hat. He looked so handsome!!
Even though I had to pay their 6 year old son a toonie to smile for family photos, it was worth it!
He gave me the biggest smile he had (oh, gosh he was a cutie!).

Seeing Sarah and Jay together… it made me smile. because they are the perfect fit.

    Mucho Love,
    Kari

    Holly & Ryan {Manville Wedding Photographer}

    August 13, 2010

Cozy Country weddings are one of my faves. This wedding in Manville was just that.
Every details was sweet & charming. The bride was sweet & charming. Her mom was sweet & charming.
The place that I had lunch before shooting was sweet & charming.
I have a really soft spot in my heart for cute villages & Manville is no exception! Whenever Adam & I
are out exploring, I always want to stop at the smallest “mom & pop” cafe that we can find.
I always order the same thing…clubhouse on brown with soup of the day. I am never disappointed.
A fun Alberta based trip for me would be to drive around from tiny town/village to tiny village exploring
and eating clubhouses. And taking pictures of all the old, falling down buildings.

Holly & Ryan grew up approx 20 minutes from each other on farms. Holly actually was raised in the house, that
Ryans mom was raised in. Cute hey? They attended Manville high school together, and after high school started
dating. Their friends say that they would have never pictured them together (with him being a farmer and her
having *ahem, cough* allergies to farm animals & chores), but that now that they are together, they are
    just perfect to each other.
One of the best parts of the day was riding around on the school bus with all of the wedding party, all mutual
friends from high school, being driven around to photo locations by their real life school bus driver! (cute hey?)
These two have an amazing support network for their marriage, as their families are so intertwined in the farming
community, as well as so many mutual friends.
Truth be told, I wanted to be part of the gang. In the moments of laughter and inside jokes on the bus, I wished
I had been born a few years earlier & had attended Manville High with them. What a fun group!!

Holly & Ryan, I totally adore both of you & loved your outdoor wedding (and the gazebo that Ryan welded!!!)!
    xoxo
    Radelle

Pink shoes??  Be still my beating heart!! ( I threatened Holly all morning that I may or may not steal them at the reception)

I am in total love with the tenderness in these two.

Holly’s eyes have not be retouched one smig. They are THAT gorgeous!!!Holly is a part-time model. Or should be.I love the joy that is so apparent in this next set.

Some of my fave all time images right here.

These two lovebirds had some of the cutest wedding details ever! Please note the school bus with the bride & groom on the gravel road….. awesome imagery right there. *wink*Love you guys!!

    Ceremony: Ryans farm

    Reception: Manville Rec Hall

Catering: Holly’s Grandma (I could go on & on about this food!!!!)

{Jenine and David} Canmore Wedding Photographer

    August 10, 2010

Jenine and David had a beautiful wedding in Canmore!  Nothing could ruin their day. They had a smile on their face the entire time- even when some
unfriendly weather stopped by.  Because of the weather they were able to experience the best of both worlds- they had a gorgeous outdoor mountain ceremony,
which was interupted by rain and hail but then finished their ceremony in the lodge next to a crackling fireplace. It was truly beautiful!

I couldn’t help but tear up when they said their vows. Their loved beamed through the words that were spoken.
You could see it in their eyes. That this love was real. That this love was true.

Jenine and David made their wedding unique in SO many ways!
Because they both work for the Edmonton Police they incorporated a bagpiper within the ceremony which made it even more personal for them
    (if thats even possible!)
They also had a live band at the wedding reception!  (For all those brides planning a wedding- this was a fantastic idea! It really
motivated guests to get up and dance and enjoy the music being played!)

It was a beautiful honor to share in their beautiful day! I have never met anybody more genuine, caring, thoughtful and kind as Jenine and David.
I cherished every moment I spent with them- because I, again, got to see another example of true love.

    Mucho Amor,
    Kari

    Tammy & Tyler {Devonian Gardens Wedding}

    August 9, 2010

Tammy wins the award for Most Calm Bride.
When her limo driver didn’t show (and upon her phoning him, he said he “forgot”)
(she had phoned to confirm the day before), she just stayed calm & thought about
how to get to her wedding ceremony. It was my honor to drive Tammy & the bridesmaids
to her wedding at the Devonian Gardens (outside of Edmonton).

Tammy & Tyler are a very cute couple & compliment each other very, very nicely. Tammy & Tyler

    enjoy your sneak peek!!!

I love these two photos of Tammy getting all dolled up, as they show some of the fun, real moments!

Tammy getting her lovely dress. On the righthand side is a lovely picture of her dad that I just adore. How totally  totally cute.I usually prefer to work alone, however on this wedding day, I felt the need to bring an assistant. She did great! (wink)

The flowers were beautiful! Very airy & fresh looking.

Tammy’s shoes? super super cute. The girls got style.

I loved how Tammy had pink details everywhere. It just made me happy!

    How did they meet?

Tyler had moved here to do his placement for school and didn’t have a place to stay.
I had lived in a house with a few ladies and we had agreed to have a guy move in. A
few days later I went outside to get something from my car and came back in, there
was Tyler. I like to tell people that he showed up on my door step. :)
We have been inseperable ever since.

    Fave memory of the wedding?

My favorite thing about the wedding was how almost everything may have went wrong
but we were still able to laugh about it! (Would have never been able to get the
filling up a gas tank shot with a limo showing up)

    Hannah & Nick {Devonian Gardens Wedding}

    August 4, 2010

Hannah & Nick are the cutest.
They met in a ballroom dancing class.
Nick’s best man’s mom said that if Nick took ballroom dancing, he would meet his wife.

She was right. How amazing is that.

Hannah & her sisters & mom are so musical. They sang, in perfect harmony as they got ready.
I felt like I had my own personal concert! It was fabulous & I was so jealous of their voices!

Hannah & Nick were married under a huge beautiful tree in the Devonian Gardens.
What an amazingly romantic place for a wedding!!
It was my honor to be their photographer & I loved every minute!

Needless to say, their first dance was amazing!

You can see a few beautiful detail pictures here.

This first Moody black & white (hey Rebekah wink wink) was an image I captured when I saw the bride showing her dad the rings. The Bride’s father was reading the Bible and he left it open with his glasses sitting on it. I grabbed the brides shoes & did this!

The brides father had no idea that I was taking this photo of him looking on….

Hannah getting all dolled up. The light in the Radisson hotel room was delicious!

Hannah leaving with her best friends for her wedding at devonian gardens

    Emma & John

    July 14, 2010

Emma & John have such a quiet confidence about them. They are the kind of couple who didn’t
NEED marriage to seal the deal…rather, they WANTED it.
What stuck me as notable is how they are truly two complete people, with passions, life, education,
and dreams…as seperate people. They do not NEED each other. They are complete people with
vibrant lives. Rather, they WANT each other.
    They compliment each other beautifully.

Their wedding was in beautiful Edmonton, Alberta.
Emma, I hope your wedding day lived up to all of your romantic notions (as per the bridesmaid speeches).
John, you are such a gentleman and it was lovely to spend the day with you!

Ceremony Location: Arts Building Edmonton, Alberta

    Reception Location: Lister Hall Ballroom

    Catering: Classic Fare

    Cake: Made by bride’s mother

Bouquets & flowers: La Piazza Dasee

    Bride’s Gown: Custom made gown

Live Band: King Muskafa  (*on that note. Brides, this was the first time in 6 years of photography that I have

been to a wedding with a live band! If you want your wedding to be unique. I really suggest this. Everyone was up

& off their seats groovin’. Plus, it just felt SO cool to see musicians!! It was a *wow* factor for sure!)

    Angel & Chad {Westlock Wedding}

    July 9, 2010

I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick.

I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing; kissing a lot.

I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls.

I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I believe in miracles.

    ~Audrey Hepburn

    _____________________________________________________

Meet Angel & Chad. I knew when I first met Angel that she was my kind of girl. Glam, but totally chill.

When her mom added me as a friend on facebook, I knew for sure, that I would love this wedding.

    Love it, I did!

Angel & Chad met a few years ago when he complimented her on her shoes & she noticed his amazingly blue eyes.

They were married in a darling outdoor ceremony in a small opening in the trees. It was very romantic!

Enjoy your sneak peek Angel & Chad

    xoxoxo

    -By Radelle

FACT: Angel is beautiful. So is her mom.

Again for those photogs out there, both of these are totally SOOC & I love the light in them!

The ceremony was perfect.  Quiet, romantic, sweet.  Just how a ceremony should be.

Do you notice the single tear?  Angel was so happy to be married to Chad.

I looked at the tree, I looked at Angels couture dress…I looked back at the tree…I looked back at Angel.

I love her, she said “im only wearing it today! Get me in that tree”

I LOVE the feel in both of these images.

The drama in this one does something good to my heart.

Everything Angel did, everywhere Angel looked was straight out of a very glam magazine.Angel wanted some POW in her photos. (read: non cheesy photos) and that was why she commissioned me

to photograph her wedding. I’d say that together, we found that POW.

     Now for some tender ones.

I love a playful bride. I can say anything (notreally) funny & get a laugh when a bride is truely happy on her wedding day!

    Shannon & Mark {Edmonton Luxury Wedding Photographer}

    July 7, 2010

    - By Radelle

It was my privilege to photograph Shannon & Mark’s beautiful Edmonton Catholic wedding last Friday.

When I arrived at Shannons lovely home in Edmonton, she was having her makeup done by none other

then our favorite makeup artist Sarah with Faces by Olive. As soon as sarah’s capable hands touch any woman’s

face, she turns into a supermodel.

However Sarah had it easy last friday, as Shannon was already stunning!! She is so naturally beautiful it is incredible.

Not only is she easy on the eyes, but Shannon is so down to earth & has a huge heart.

She is always concerned about others. Even her darling puppy was adopted from the humane shelter.

Kindness & gentle souls are what brought Shannon & Mark together.

When Shannon’s father was giving a touching toast to his daughter, he said (about Mark) that if you looked

up “nice guy” in the dictionary, Mark’s picture would be there.

The way that these two treat each other is inspiring & I am so happy that I was able to photograph their love.

    Shannon, you are exquisite.

I love the drama in both of these. (for those photographers reading, both are SOOC)Shannon & Mark’s Ceremony was held in Edmonton at St. John Evangelist Catholic Church

Shannon, this is one of my favorite images of you. You took my breath away as I was editing this one.Mark, I would say you are a pretty lucky fella.I love when my brides laugh. Whether at me, or at themselves, or at their friends. I love photos of brides laughing & joyful.

The tenderness in this photo…is SO Shannon & Mark.*ring ring*…err Shannon…I think vogue is calling….. (WOW!!)

Their Edmonton Reception was held at the ever lovely Royal Glenora Club in the river valley.

Let me just say this: If you want excellent food with an amazing presentation at your wedding,

seriously consider the royal glenora club.

    unreal.

(p.s. I LOVE the joy in these photos!)

Heritage Point Golf Course Wedding {Aimee & Jonathan)

    July 2, 2010

I am a big believer in the fact that my couples marriages are going to last.
I believe that because I am a huge believer in marriage & love…I attract couples who also feel
this way & are committed to making their marriage last & flourish.
Still, I always have a wish in my thoughts & a prayer in my heart that life will be good to them,
that as times get tough, they will remember this moment & these feelings.
I sincerely wish love & joy for them.
As much as I wish & pray for this couple to have that joy as well…..fact is,
they don’t need my prayers. These two are so perfect together that it took my breath away.

In the first 3 seconds of meeting Jonathan I knew that he was a special kind of guy.
The kind that proves to women that chivalry is not dead.
The kind that looks at his wife with so much adoration & joy, that the women around the room
noticing having feelings mixed between jealous & weak knees over him.
It is clear. Jon knows how to love. Perhaps even more importantly,
he knows how to love Aimee.

Aimee, as you will see, is incredibly beautiful. The type of lady who walks into a room & turns heads.
She is a total sweetheart & the sincerety in her eyes as she said her vows to jonathan blew me
away. The guests, the world, the weather, the day all melted away….and in her ways was him.
    JUST him.
So it is clear, she knows how to love a man. But not just any man, Jonathan.
It is very clear, that he is where her heart is.

These two are going to have a fabulous marriage & I was so very very honored to document their day
and their tender love for one another.

Aimee found her “sex in the city” inspired gown at Ethos Bridal Group in Calgary

The Ceremony & Reception were held at the fab-FABulous Heritage Point Golf Course (seriously so amazing!!)

These have got to be some of my all time favorite ceremony photographs.

The first one is Jon seeing Aimee for the first time, being walked up the aisle.

The second is Aimee having just seen Jon.

The last image is Aimees dad, seconds after he gave her away.

This group of ladies was not only beautiful but incredibly fun!

The men knew how to work the camera!

Aimee, you are totally, totally drop dead gorgeous. Jon–you are a hunk. There is said it.

    How adorable are these two?

    Theresa & Richard {Featured Bride}

    June 25, 2010

Theresa & Richard commissioned me to photograph their wedding, after seeing the images
that I did for their friends Catherine & Luke.
I love brides who book me through a referral, because they are always so excited about me & my work!
Theresa was no exception. She had sent me numerous emails telling me how excited she was that I was
photographing her wedding. I felt so honored to be her photographer.
She is an avid blog fan.
When I arrived at her house, she was a Bride vibrant & excited for her day. Her eyes bright & cheery as she said
“if you get hungry while we are here…..I have TONS of parm cheese

    in my pantry”
I laughed so hard!! She really MUST read the blog to know that about me!
I just love her. Her wedding day was SO fun for me!!

Krystal & Booker (Edmonton Wedding Photographer)

    June 10, 2010

    - By Radelle, Kari & Adam

** Watch their darling little slideshow HERE!

We are SO excited to show this “Day After/Rock the Dress” shoot with you!
Day After shoots are wedding shoots, done after the wedding! The purpose of these shoots is to be able
to get photographs that may not be possible on your wedding day due to time or location constraints.
These are also knows as Trash the Dress sessions, although as you will see in these images, the dress
does not have to be trashed at all. In fact, it does not even have to be the same dress.

The funnest part of a “day after” (aka: Rock the dress) shoot is that it can be totally tailored to your
personality & unique love. The images can be peppered with your personality & cute things about the
    two of you.
This shoot was a unique experience as all 3 of us photographers (Adam, Radelle & Kari) were shooting.
Why? Because the lovely lady in these photos is Kari & Radelle’s sister! It was so much fun & such an
honor to do a day after shoot with Krystal and her husband.

All of these images were taken at Adam & Radelle’s place where they are building our new offices & natural light studio!!

    Meet Krystal & Booker.
    Booker LOVES books.
    Krystal also loves books.
As a child, krystal used to read pre-teen novels, in bed, with her dictionary beside her
“to look up any words I am not familiar with” she would say.
    Booker is her perfect match.
Booker has an eclectic style. He is distinguished & suave all rolled into one.

Together they are about the cutest couple alive.
And, they both love tiger ice cream.
And they are likely the only 2 people alive that do.

Mary & James Edmonton Oasis Wedding Photographer

    June 9, 2010

    -By Radelle

As high school sweethearts, Mary & James know each other through & through.
They have loved each other in the same high school, the same city & the same continent
(when James was busy playing professional hockey).

James loves and supports Mary in everything she does. He also does sweet little things for her mom,
like laying a brick sidewalk. He is just that kind of guy.
And Mary? Mary loved James enought to let him chase his dream & be is “puck bunny” in
    the benches cheering him on!

They sealed their love with marriage in Edmonton, Alberta. Their ceremony was at the ever beautiful
Edmonton Oasis, Jewel of the West End. A few of their formal photos were taken at Rutherford house

and their reception was at the darling Faculty Club at the University of Alberta where plated prime rib was served.

Now onto a few images from their day!

**View their awesome little  slideshow HERE **

    Clearly Mary is totally beautiful.

I loved how the facinator in her hair added timeless glamour

The ceremony was decorated with pink rose petals & beautiful jewels everywhere. I loved it!

A recieving line followed the ceremony and Mary invited guests to come up & greet them!

She is the ultimate lady, so gracious & beautiful when she laughs!

I love these next 2 images as they really feature their tender, long lasting love.

It was a stunningly beautiful day in Edmonton for a wedding!

I love the movement in this image. It makes it feel magical!

    Mary, you are super fabulous!!
