This engagement session was so incredibly fun to shoot! It was shot by thorsby (east of Drayton valley, west of leduc) and this family’s farm offered so many interesting backgrounds! I had an absolute blast! To top things off, these two are so in love. He is so sweet with her and she is just an adorable bubble of happiness, who adore him openly. I love them and their love!!
I think that they are going to have an amazing wedding next year!

Erin & Steven are the most adorable couple in the world!  Waking up to a wind & rain storm is not what we had planned, but by the time I arrived to the getting ready location, the sun was shining, making for a beautiful summer day!
They had their ceremony on her grandma’s farm . It was beautiful! The simple, yet elegant, DIY touches were fabulous in every way.

Erin and Steven,
I wish you both the very best in your married life together! May your life together be filled with love and laughter.
It was an honor to be a part of your wedding day.

Paolo had his eye on Danielle for quite some time….

It all started in high school…when Paolo joined Drama to get to know a certain darling blonde girl a little bit better. After 8 months of pursing her, she finally agreed to a date. They have been together ever since.

I knew when I was shooting their Engagement session in Banff last fall, that these two were perfect for each other & totally THEMSELVES around each other. They really are each others best friends & have literally grown up together. I’m not going to lie, watching Paolo’s awesome family & his fun/teasing relationship with his brothers & uncles…I kind of wish that Adam was Italian! That family had such a fun, easy going, teasing, love life vibe. I told Adam after that wedding that you can tell that Italian men love their women (wives) and their food with passion. It was pretty cute to sit back & watch.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day for me, was listening to their priests homily. He talked of studies that proved that researched couple’s on the verge of divorce…who only changed one thing in their marriage. They started to pray together. Upon re-evaluation of these couples the statistic on how many had “made it” and were extremely happy in their marriage was through the roof high. He also spoke of the importance of each couple bringing 100% (not 50%) to the marriage, so that when one person’s contributions are low (new baby, death of a parent, loss of a job, other hard times) the marriage can still survive the hard time with even the one person’s effort. This was something that my parents taught me, and I remember being a little girl & my dad telling me that in a marriage you had to give 100%/100% and that sometimes that meant mom fed the calves (I was raised on a farm) and sometimes dad cleaned the toilets. Whatever it took to bring your 100% to the marriage.

Danielle & Paolo, I have NO doubt in my mind that you two will be blissfully happy. And…that you will have the cutest kids alive.
