We have received a bunch of photographers asking “how did you book an Italy wedding, did you know the bride?”

the answer is no. And there was no special marketing or advertising. In fact, our “advertising” to book the wedding was free.

Last summer I (radelle) photographed the most lovely bride at her lethbridge wedding. I loved her and she loved me. And she rocked her photos! Enough that her cousin saw them and had to book us for her Italy wedding this year!! So, in terms of advertising & marketing, our best advice is to do the very best job you can in local weddings & their friends (some of whom may be planning destination weddings) will “have to have you”.

We also have another fabulous Italy wedding coming up and once again, it was word of mouth. That bride heard about us through a wedding planner-Petite Pearl Events who recommended our work.

We have been doing a lot of destination weddings the past year years and love them all, but to be able to start taking somewhat regular bookings in Italy (another inquiry today!!) will be a dream a come true. Especially for a romantic like me.

Brittany is from the ever lovely and hilly Drayton Valley. Maikal is from the quaint prarie land ofMagrath.

Both met in Lethbridge while attending University. She loves his great sense of humor and zest for life & he loves her adorable smile with her tongue between her teeth & fiery red hair.

Together they were married for Time and All Eternity in the Cardston, Alberta temple in front of family and friends. They had a beautiful and song filled reception in Magrath where many moments of laughter and love were shared as families came together to celebrate two amazing people having found each other.

We were able to head out to Waterton National Park the evening before the wedding and get their “formal” pictures out of the way. I just LOVED how they turned out! Thank you Brittany & Maikal for taking direction so well & for being so in love and making my job easy.

Love you both!!!

So…..Brittany is Gorgeous. We may as well just establish that with the first image.

.

And she radiates all things good. Happiness, purity and joy. I adore her & everything she stands for!

I L.O.V.E this image, as it shows how much Maikal adores her.It was an overcast day, but we found a couple of minutes of the most yummy light, just before the sun went down behind the mountains.I love the drama that mountain surrounds provide for wedding photos! Totally my style!

I love the drama in this image. I think that Brittany looks jaw dropping beautiful!

My very favorite “portrait” of the day. I think Brittany’s mom is going to love this one!

Brittany & Maikal, I love how much fun you two have together! It does my heart good. Never stop flirting and playing!

While editing these images, I added to my goals for 2011 “have fiery, sassy, red hair”. I am jealous!

And a tiny peek at a few of their lovely reception details!

Being contacted to have our work published is always a fun email to read, and a huge honor! A few days ago we received an email from a very prestigious blog asking if they could feature a recent wedding of ours. It is always very exciting and such a compliment to the bride & groom, for planning such a detail filled and joyous wedding!
Similarly, when Hot Pink Brides wanted to feature Britney & Blake’s Edmonton & Devon winter wedding, we were very excited. Some of the industry’s best & photographers who we greatly admire from around the world have had their work featured on Hot Pink Brides. If you are planning a stylish, funky, cool wedding….this is the blog to follow for inspiration! I love it!

Nick and Emily are my new bffs. No seriously, they  are. When we met for the first time at the resort I instantly fell in love with how laid back and fun Emily is and how funny hilarious Nick was.
These two understand what it takes to make a relationship work. He adores her. Anytime she walks into a room he has the biggest smile on his face.
Nick and Emily started seeing eachother while double dating with another couple. But when Emily wouldn’t reply to all the text messages Nick was sending (asking her out on a date), he gave up, thinking she wasn’t interested. But the truth is, Emily was very interested, she just didn’t have ‘text messaging’ on her phone. So even with that set back, they were able to connect and four years later, say there wedding vows in a beautiful open-walled church.

They said ‘I do’ in a  beautiful open-walled church followed by a beautiful tented beach reception.
There reception was nothing short of fabulous!  Each table setting had a personalized Maraca and beautiful centerpeices. They had a guitar player playing soft love songs during dinner which set the perfect mood for speeches.
After speeches, a mariachi band came in and played fun upbeat songs which got every guest  dancing shaking their maracas on the beach!

Her San Patrick gown was breathtaking!!

Nick suprised Emily with a beautiful Tiffany necklace and she wore it on her wedding day!

Cutest laugh EVER!

Nick wore a very handsome grey suit! love.

The adorable open walled church they got married in!
