I am taking a quick break from my shooting (& touring!!) schedule in California because I saw that a recent wedding of mine (Lana & Marcs) has been featured on one of my favorite blogs (Glamour & Grace!!!).

Check out the feature here & leave Lana & Marc some comment love on the feature!

Much Love from my sunny smile & flip flop feet,
Radelle in Cali.

I am so in LOVE with working with Verbena Floral Design who are based out of beautiful Victoria!
Vanessa and Jenny
- they are ladies that go over and above in everything they do.
They are fantastic.
They are such beautiful, FUN, outgoing women! Be prepared to belly laugh with these ladies (not the cute kind of belly-laugh, the real kind. you know, horse-laugh!).
If I could wrap them up in a cute little bow and place them in my pocket. I would.
They are the real deal. The best in the biz.
They go beyond what you expect. They are not only florists- they are designers and help bring to life any concept.
Their brides love them and I LOVE THEM (arguably.more.)
They stole a little bit of my heart.
And. I . Am . Ok. With. That.

Mucho Love,
Kari

WOW! When I got contacted by Kristine from InFrame Bride, my heart nearly stopped beating.
I feel so honored  that such a high end luxury wedding blog/magazine would want to feature my Sweet Yellow Love shoot!

Today, I am going to take the day off. And just dance all day. Shakin’ what my momma gave me. Because I am THAT excited!
Again, the fabulous talent behind it all….
Hair: Danielle from David Levi Salon. Florist: Erica from Rook & Rose Floral Design Boutique. Makeup: Sharon Clarke  (clarke237@hotmail.com)

I went for a bike ride. You know. For exercise.
I decided to ride by newly purchased bike down to the red dock and then turn around and ride back home.
on the way there, i was feeling pretty good about myself!
The wind was blowing in my hair, the bike was picking up more and more speed and I was pedalling. hard.
It then occured to me that I didn’t need to pedal to pick up speed- the bike was going so fast on its own.
I thought to myself ‘whoa, biking is the best way to get fit! You barely have to do a thing!’

And thats when my brain kicked in and said ‘Kari, my poor Kari, if you remember anything from physics in highschool,
you would recognize why you are still gaining speed without pedalling. Its called going down hill and just you wait. just you wait.”

I dismissed all those thoughts out of my mind and continued to enjoy the ride.
I got to the dock, enjoyed the view, turned around and started pedalling home.

Within 5 minutes my legs felt as though they were going to break off. BREAK off!
The way back home is all UP HILL. I could have died! a million times over. As I am trying to get my butt up this constant neverending hill
I look behind me. and thats when I saw it.
A man.
In green flourescent spandex from head to ankle. Elbow padding. Wrist guards. AND a helmet.
He seemed to not struggle at all. He was slowly catching up.
Upon seeing him, I biked like I never biked before I was not going to be outbiked. My legs were burning.
And I only lasted about 20 seconds.
My legs wouldn’t move anymore.
The man in flourescent passed me, and he was about 60 years in age- possibly older.
He gave me a ‘keep your chin up kiddo’ smile, and his firm legs and muscular calves took him right up to the top of the hill.

My emotions were mixed- I was exhuasted, I wanted to cry, I was humiliated and embarrassed.
When I finally got home, Matt greeted me at the door and gave me a big hug and said ‘good job babe- thats a hard bike ride’.
Hearing that made everything so much better.

Now thinking about it, part of me is ok that a  60+ year old man out-biked me, because well, hey, he was in bright green spandex.

justice.

Ladies, whether you are a bride, or a photographer, or just love beautiful jewelry,  Georgie Designs carries some of the most stunning and unique pieces around. I am totally in love with their rings & necklaces especially. Gentleman, there is not too much a lady loves more then being given a custom made piece of jewelry. Picked out & made perfectly for them.

I had a beautiful bracelet on my wedding day that Adam purchased for me, and I treasure it like no other. I wear it any anniversary, and anytime I just want to feel loved.

Go check out their etsy site & do some Christmas/wedding shopping!

p.s. This ring is just begging to be your “something blue”. LOVE it!
