I had been looking forward to this wedding for quite a while. It was the culmination of a beautiful, sweet couple & most of my favorite vendors in Edmonton! Their weddings was glitz & glam, with a healthy dose of romantic. From fire dancers, to a 7 course plated meal, no detail was overlooked. Maya & Rocky are an adorable couple! I loved spending time with them during their engagement shoot & watching their cute but sarcastic banter; and spending time on the wedding day gave even further insight into why they make such a great pair.

I had the time of my life with you two & your wedding was simply unbelievable.

I really enjoyed these two from the moment that I met them at their engagement shoot. They are both very easy to be around and very sweet. Maggie just radiates all things good, she really has an amazing heart. I love Dallas’ love of maggie & his willingness to be such a great sport with photos. They were married in Calgary on a beautiful (but windy!) spring day. I always say that I have the most beautiful brides (both on the inside & out) and Maggie is no exception. While I was photographing the getting ready details, I couldn’t help but feel like I was watching an actress or model get ready for the day…she is simply that stunning. The ceremony was classic & beautiful, and one of my favorite things was people WATCHED the ceremony rather then worrying about getting iphone photos. You could feel the difference in the mood because of that. It was much more intimate & magical (so props to maggie for letting that wish be known to her guests). The reception at the Carriage House Inn was exceptional. The service was amazing & at one point I overheard the manager personally checking in with the bride’s parents to ensure that everything was perfect. I was impressed. The toasts were hilarious, the dancing was lively and entertaining. I had a fantastic time & it was such a lovely wedding.

Enjoy working on your tan in Hawaii & here is your sneak peek!

We feel so blessed for all the weddings that have been featured! We are so grateful and want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has featured and published us and our lovely brides! We stand in awe.
We love what we do, and are thrilled that our work goes to the next step and inspires brides!
Thank you thank you thank you.

There is just something about winter weddings, especially one’s so close to the New Year. The magic is tangible!

While winters in Edmonton can be brutal, and were leading up to this wedding, we were blessed with -1 weather the day of the wedding! Edmonton is absolutely beautiful in the winter, with it’s white coat of snow everywhere….it makes such a beautiful backdrop for romantic portraits.

Things I loved about this fantastic wedding of Luke & Nicole: Watching Luke cry as his beautiful fiancée walked down the aisle to him. Nicole’s amazing vintage glamour hairdo & dress. The stunning reception decor, done by the highly recommended Jordan of Atmosphere weddings. The reception room was incredibly elegant, yet felt warm and cozy (quite a feat for a winter wedding!).

Your wedding was charming & exquisite all rolled into one, and I wish you both (and your cat ;) all the happiness in the world.

One of my favorite things to photograph is our Rock the Dress shoots! (aka: Trash the Dress, Day After session). These are typically done either the day after the wedding, or a little while later (for various reasons). One thing that they offer typically, is more time! More time & less worry. Less worry about getting to the reception, getting enough family photos, keeping the dress pristine, etc. Rock the Dress shoots are a fabulous way to be able to get more fun, playful & sassy photos. If you have ever wanted your chance to model behind our lens, with the goal being “jaw dropping” photos…..then a Rock the Dress shoot is definitely for you.

Meet Jeremy & Ashlee.

These two are adorable.  They have been together for about 5 years & have matching tattoos (how cute!!!).

Ashlee & I became best friends in about 5 minutes flat. We shared our stories with each other, and bonded as only 2 girls with a decent amount in common can. Ashlee is the sweetest girl alive. And that sweet girl, has a sweet, sweet man. While talking about how you know when someone is right for you, Ashlee said “I don’t necessarily believe in love at first sight, but I do believe that when you “know”, you “know”. She then went on to sing Jeremy’s praises & tell me how he has been there for here through the good times & the bad, through the thick and the thin.

These two are so in love.

Getting the type of images that I was after, was easy. Ashlee is comfortable in her own skin & willing to try anything. And Jeremy? He just adores her.  And it shows.

I have a girl crush on Ashlee’s hair (done by Perugia Salon & Spa) and her eyebrows. And her entire face.

Jeremy & Ashlee, it was so lovely to be able to work with you & document your love. I love your story, and who you both are. You are fabulous people.

xoxo

Ashlee, you are ridiculously gorgeous. I love getting candid, laughing photos of my brides. It shows so much emotion & the upbeat energy of the day!I loved, loved, loved the florals Ashlee had. La Piazza Dasee made her 3 unique bouquets for her Rock the Dress shoot. Each gave the photos a different vibe, not to mention being jaw dropping!! La Piazza is an absolute industry leader, and the minds at work there, are genius!Ashlee, you are totally darling. Fun loving & sweet. The best combination!Again, the florals blew me away! If you want unique wedding photos (or Rock the Dress photos), you need to visit La Piazza Dasee!Jeremy looked so dapper, and yet so funky. There is nothing better then a little personality thrown into the groom’s attire. His suit was vintage & his tie was from the etsy shopfancibags (who also does amazing handbags!)

Rock the Dress shoots (or leaving lots of time in your wedding day) are a great way that you get a lot of dramatic, sexy, sassy wedding photos. The more time we have, the more we can coach you & just enjoy working different looks!Of course, the tender moments, are always our favorite.

During a wedding (or Rock the Dress shoot), we always LOVE to get a photo that is fierce and sexy of our bride. I personally, always picture it in the husbands wallet *grin*.

Bottom line: He makes her so happy.

I am in love with Ashlee’s necklace & bracelet. IN LOVE. It was custom made by a store in etsy called Twillypop.

Ashlee & Jeremy’s darling sign is from a charming shop called Party Decorations. It was adorable!

Work what your momma gave you Ashlee! LOVE it!

One of my favorite photos from the day.

I LOVED their little sign!! You can find it HEREat Posterpop.

Love capturing the details. Especially a necklace as darling as this.

I love, love, love images that show how happy the couple is together. This image does that for me. I hope that they love it.

Ashlee’s clutch was made by the ever talented & creativeBella Fiore.

We will end things with a couple of moody, sexy black and white shots.
