Brittany is from the ever lovely and hilly Drayton Valley. Maikal is from the quaint prarie land ofMagrath.

Both met in Lethbridge while attending University. She loves his great sense of humor and zest for life & he loves her adorable smile with her tongue between her teeth & fiery red hair.

Together they were married for Time and All Eternity in the Cardston, Alberta temple in front of family and friends. They had a beautiful and song filled reception in Magrath where many moments of laughter and love were shared as families came together to celebrate two amazing people having found each other.

We were able to head out to Waterton National Park the evening before the wedding and get their “formal” pictures out of the way. I just LOVED how they turned out! Thank you Brittany & Maikal for taking direction so well & for being so in love and making my job easy.

Love you both!!!

So…..Brittany is Gorgeous. We may as well just establish that with the first image.

.

And she radiates all things good. Happiness, purity and joy. I adore her & everything she stands for!

I L.O.V.E this image, as it shows how much Maikal adores her.It was an overcast day, but we found a couple of minutes of the most yummy light, just before the sun went down behind the mountains.I love the drama that mountain surrounds provide for wedding photos! Totally my style!

I love the drama in this image. I think that Brittany looks jaw dropping beautiful!

My very favorite “portrait” of the day. I think Brittany’s mom is going to love this one!

Brittany & Maikal, I love how much fun you two have together! It does my heart good. Never stop flirting and playing!

While editing these images, I added to my goals for 2011 “have fiery, sassy, red hair”. I am jealous!

And a tiny peek at a few of their lovely reception details!

Jasper Wedding Photography

October 4, 2010

These two lovebirds kept it totally about the love.

They eloped to Jasper, Alberta and had a teeny, tiny, super romantic wedding.

There were 9 people in attendance including them and their darling little daughter.

The day was relaxed and calm, as was the bride.

Their love was tangible and their vows were so sweet & real.

They promised to love each other when their love was easy & when it took work.

I loved that. What a beautiful commitment to make.

The lovely day started in the  huge, magestic Outlook cabin at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge

The bride, had a beautiful gown that fit her as though it was made for her. She wore some darling earings that her husband suprised

her with.

Her Vianni shoes, with toes on the bows, suited the wedding day & the dress perfectly!

As she was getting ready, the cabin was a dark log cabin, however I still opted for flashless photography as I wanted to

capture the moments in a very real, raw way. I think the images turned out beautiful & tender.

Their little daughter was an absolute show stealer. She was so darling, I could have just tucked her in my pocket, brought her

home & had tea parties with her.I love these next two photos of mommy & daughters wedding day gear. So darling!!Aunty showing cutie pie how to wear her headband. I love these moments. I love that I was able to capture them

without flash distracting the little one.

Probably one of my favorite shoe pictures of all time. To me, it captures THEIR wedding & the mood of the day.

The earing box. I love when grooms give their bride a wedding day gift. Adam bought me a bracelet, and I wear it every anniversary &

to every family member’s wedding. The ceremony details were simple, and so very perfect.

The ceremony details were simple, and so very perfect.

I simply adore this photo of the bride walking up the “aisle” to her waiting man.

It was a small crowd, but one full of feelings & love. The love was tangible.

Another one of my all time favorite photos. I think it just says so much.

Isn’t she just the cutest thing ever?!

I simply adore this picture of the two of them, as to me, it captures “THEM”.They are so very happy together. What a beautiful, beautiful bride. The fall colors were simply amazing. It was such a treat to photograph a wedding in Jasper, in the fall.

Jenine and David had a beautiful wedding in Canmore!  Nothing could ruin their day. They had a smile on their face the entire time- even when some
unfriendly weather stopped by.  Because of the weather they were able to experience the best of both worlds- they had a gorgeous outdoor mountain ceremony,
which was interupted by rain and hail but then finished their ceremony in the lodge next to a crackling fireplace. It was truly beautiful!

I couldn’t help but tear up when they said their vows. Their loved beamed through the words that were spoken.
You could see it in their eyes. That this love was real. That this love was true.

Jenine and David made their wedding unique in SO many ways!
Because they both work for the Edmonton Police they incorporated a bagpiper within the ceremony which made it even more personal for them
(if thats even possible!)
They also had a live band at the wedding reception!  (For all those brides planning a wedding- this was a fantastic idea! It really
motivated guests to get up and dance and enjoy the music being played!)

It was a beautiful honor to share in their beautiful day! I have never met anybody more genuine, caring, thoughtful and kind as Jenine and David.
I cherished every moment I spent with them- because I, again, got to see another example of true love.

Mucho Amor,
Kari
